Decoupage

Spring is in the air, and I have caught the decorating bug.

Getting the Easter decorations started with a few decoupaged eggs brings a smile to my face.

Real Slow

Since my blogging hiatus, I have changed a few things around here. Around the house, that is.

During the holidays, things got busy. Real busy. Much busier than I would like.

This busyness overwhelmed me terribly. At the end of every day I felt run down and simply exhausted. I was burnt out, done, at the end of my rope.

Now, I have decided we are going to take things real slow. If we don't make it out of our jammies immediately, it's okay. I simply want to enjoy the day with the kids. We get our daily chores done, but sometimes that is all.

Real slow has allowed me many more moments like these:

Sitting in our jammies doodling the day away.

Catchin' Up

Since I took this enormous blogging break, I suppose I have a little bit of catchin' up to do.

It will take me a few posts to get you all up to date on what's happening around here, but let me start by sharing a couple of my favorite sewing projects from the holidays.

These were all special orders, which often times turn into my favorite items. What other times in life do you get to help someone create their vision?

I'm Baaack

Hello all! It has been quite a while since I have talked to you all...and I have lots of fun projects to share with you!

For today, though, I'll share a few photos from the past few months.

Between a hubby graduating (woo hoo),

Celebrating the holidays,

and tyring to keep up with business,

It has been busy around here!

I am happy to be back, and can't wait to share some fun things we have been making around here!

We spent the holidays with our family last week. When it was time to put ornaments on Grandma's tree, our son was thrilled to help. Don't you just love this season?

Handmade Holidays

How is everyone's holiday planning going? That's exactly where I am...still in the planning phases. I haven't begun any of my holiday sewing yet, but I am stocking up on a few patterns to make some goodies for those I love.

Thought you would enjoy the heads up....there are a few of these great patterns on sale over at Keyka Lou.
